This is one of the most powerful features of PinPoint Search.

• Simply click on the Pinpoint Search button.
• In the menu. Enter "Guide" or "Lodging" , or any other keyword, in the search box (without quotes).
• In the Area Code fields, enter a range of area codes you wish to look in.
• Click "Search" at the bottom of the page.

The Google PageRank (PR) is a system which ranks pages within the Google search engine and determines the importance of the web page, based on a scale of 1 to 10. Higher page rank usually means higher placement on the Search Engine Results Pages (SERP) within relevant searches. We include the PR for as many listings as possible in order help users find popular (in Google's view) websites.

Users should use the PR on our site with caution. Many websites of top-flight fly-fishing organizations may have a relatively low PR just by the nature of the beast. A superb guide or non-profit organization may have a highly focused clientele and by nature, a relatively low volume of visitors. This is not by any means a reflection on the quality of the organization - just Google's view that website popularity equates to quality - a dubious conclusion when it comes to many fly-fishing websites.

Our listings are hand-picked by our contributors and subject to editorial review. Our objective is have the highest quality and relavant resource listings.

Some of the criteria we use to include a listing:

• Closely relevant to fly fishing, associated lodging, geographic areas of interest; and government organizations associated with fly fishing.
• High quality for-profit and non-profit sites, organizations and individuals.
• We make a special effort to include club and associations, disabled group's sites, kid's-oriented sites, women's organizations, conservation efforts.
• A web-site is not mandatory, but helps us select a listing.

Some of the criteria we use to not include a listing:

• Spam sites, heavily banner-ad laden sites, and parked sites.
• Any bot-generated submission not related to fly fishing.

We reserve the editorial priveiege to not include a site which is inappropriate to our quality objectives stated above

Some of the activities we pursue to maintain quality listings:

• Check for broken listing links on a daily basis. There is nothing more fustrating than directories which have a large amount of (or any)  broken listings.
• Randomly check live listing links for quality standards. If a website looks like it has been abandoned, or parked, we will consider de-listing it.
• We update the PageRank data included in the listings every week. While a high PageRank is definitely not necessary for inclusion in the listings, it is one measure of quality search, so we keep this data up to date.
