Fly Fisherman, Author, Speaker. Beau Beasley has fished the waters of the Old Dominion since early childhood and knows them like only a native can. His insider's knowledge of Virginia ranges from the mountain brook trout streams of the Shenandoah National Park to the salty windswept shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Although he's pursued trout on the Big Horn River in Montana, landed every species of salmon in Alaska, and successfully brought to hand five-pound brook trout in Labrador, Canada, his first love is still fishing poppers on a Virginia farm pond. He writes for numerous regional and national publications and serves as the director of the Virginia Fly Fishing Festival.

The Bed & Breakfasts of the Historic Shenandoah Valley invite you to visit our beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The Shenandoah Valley is one of America’s most beautiful places, steeped in history and majestic natural beauty. Our towns and cities are very well preserved as are the several Civil War battle sites. Enjoy the breathtaking Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Mountains to our East and the ageless Allegheny mountains to our West. This website is an introduction to our outstanding hospitality. Our member inns are located along the valley and you may 'inn-hop’’ up or down the Valley between Lexington at the south and Winchester at the north.

The Falmouth Flats Fly Fishers club was spawned as a result of the seasonal striped bass fishing on the easily waded flats below the Falmouth, VA, bridge, where U.S. Route 1 crosses the Rappahannock River. Over the course of several years, as an increasing number of fly fishers came into contact with one another at the flats, we shared information about the stripers, the tide, moon, the river conditions and what flies to fish. We swapped stories about big ones landed, caught and released, and even told a few about the ones that got away.

Welcome to the Falmouth Flats Fly Fishers, a fly fishing club dedicated torn conservation, restoration, and fly fishing on the Rappahannock River. FFFF was launched January 13, 1999 at an organizational meeting which drew 25 people through word of mouth advertising. Current membership now numbers more than 40.

The Fly Fishers of Virginia (FFV) was established in 1982 to promote the art of fly rod fishing; to foster good sportsmanship; and to promote conservation of the nation’s natural resources. During the year, six dinner meetings are occasions for informational programs pertaining to the many aspects of fly fishing and conservation activities. Programs are presented by international and local experts and celebrities in the fly fishing world, as well as knowledgeable FFV members. Fishing trips are scheduled each year for cold water, warm water, and saltwater species. Fly fishing dinners, seminars, and workshops are booked periodically. Fly tying classes are offered each winter: Beginning, Intermediate, or Advanced, depending on demand. Casting clinics are also available. The club is an affiliate of the Federation of Fly Fishers and also gives financial support to several conservation and fly fishing related organizations, including: the Atlantic Salmon Federation; American Museum of Fly Fishing; the Catskill Fly Fishing Center; The Chesapeake Bay Foundation; and the Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock.

Benefiting the sport of fly fishing. We are passionate about fly fishing and about supporting organizations that promote and preserve our passion. Project Healing Waters and the Virginia Fly Fishing Festival are currently the organizations that we support financially. We also support Reel Recovery , a men's cancer Survivor program. This year we have also started sponsoring Casting for Recovery. Supporting financially means that we provided 97% of proceeds from sales in 2007, 100% of our proceeds from sales in 2008 and 2009. We are on track for 100% for 2010 too! This year - Fly Fishing Benefactors will be a Gold-Level Sponsor of the Virginia Fly Fishing Festival. We have 1 degree of separation from military disabled veterans and 1 degree of separation from Cancer here at Fly Fishing Benefactors. We have lost close friends and family to cancer and we have family members who have survived Cancer as well. We intend on continued support of Cancer programs and programs that benefit Disabled Veterans as well! Write us to see how we can support your fly fishing organization!
