Welcome to Angler's Pro Shop's on-line catalog. It has been our goal for the last 25 years to offer only the finest the Fly Fishing Industry has to offer.
Ben Turpin Custom Rod Building and Guide Service evolved out of 20 years of year-round fly fishing obsession. I looked up to George Harvey, Joe Humphries and other legends of the sport as a teenager and even selected the college I attended in-part because of the local fishery. I loved the sport and then I found that I really enjoyed sharing the sport with others. Countless days on the water teaching friends and family how to catch fish turned into helping total strangers who would approach the only angler on the stream who was catching fish. Finally, one day someone requested to pay me for my assistance on the stream and a business was born! Ben Turpin Custom Rod Building and Guide Service was officially established in 1997. I've built an excellent reputation in the industry, am very dedicated to education and excellence in the sport and have enjoyed every minute of teaching and helping others to have a more enjoyable and productive time on the water.
Fly Fishing Guide Service:
I have been an Orvis endorsed guide for several years and offer guided fly fishing trips in the scenic Pocono Mountains and Northwest New Jersey. Some of the streams I guide in this historic fly fishing area include the Brodhead Creek, Lehigh River, Big Bushkill Creek, Big Flat Brook, and the Pequest River. Along with guiding in the Pocono region I also guide the Southeastern, PA limestone streams in the Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton areas. These limestone streams are highly productive and just a short ride from New Jersey and the Philadelphia area. I also guide two-day trips to the classic limestone streams of Central Pennsylvania. You are invited to join me and experience the wild trout fisheries of Spring Creek, Fishing Creek, and Penn's Creek while enjoying the comfort and hospitality of Centre Mills Bed & Breakfast or The Spring Creek House B & B, both of which are well appointed and fishermen oriented. Each of these fertile limestone streams are unique in there own ways and combining them in one trip allows the angler to experience some of the best fishing the mid Atlantic region has to offer. I have years of experience on the local Pocono streams and my fly fishing roots started on Spring Creek, which has kept me coming back to Central, PA for many years.
